Handcrafted Textile Art + Reworked Clothing

Jenna Bergman is a textile artist based in Minneapolis currently creating under the name Goldenrod Handcraft.

Jenna makes quilted textile art and small batch reworked clothing using secondhand, collected and botanical dyed textiles. Her work is lighthearted, playful and often depicts colorful imagery of her favorite foods, nature or a fresh take on her favorite traditional quilt square. For Jenna, sewing is a way to explore, play, and to feel connected to her community.

Jenna has always had a creative practice and learned how to sew from her grandmother when she was a teenager. Before becoming a textile artist, Jenna dedicated 13 years to a career in disability advocacy. In 2024, Jenna decided to put a pause on her career and pursue passions beyond care work. She now spends her time working seasonally as a florist and on a flower farm and spends the rest of her time sewing joyfully and peacefully in her home studio.

Jenna lives with her 2 beloved cats and incredibly supportive husband, Mark in Northeast Minneapolis.
